Gas prices hitting the wallet.....

With gas prices at almost $4 a gallon, I cringe filling up my car with gas!
I see my paycheck going and going and going and saying "bye bye" with a smart-aleck tone. Let's face it, gas prices will continue to go up! Then I remember that I need to buy food and pay rent with the same check. OUCH!!! I stand at the pump and watch it roll up and up and I am sure I say a few words..…not in praise that is…but in disgust! I am too stubborn, as my friend tells me, when he offers to help me out. "Yes, I tell him." It's a trait I got from my Mother along with a few others! Anyway, what are American's supposed to do? We do have to drive to get to work…it is not like Brazil has a hybrid city bus or a bus in general that will take people around town. Car companies need to move a little faster in getting "affordable" hybrid vehicles out on the market. General Motors has just released their brand new hybrid Tahoe. It is a great addition to the SUV world, but who can afford the $45,000-50,000 price tag? I can't afford the car that I am currently driving. I wish I were brave enough to ride a motorcycle to work without having the bad helmet hair that I know I would get! I can picture myself in my head right now, riding on a motorcycle in a dress/skirt flying behind me! All I will need is a broom and Toto to complete the Wizard of Oz look! Well, what else can I say about gas prices that we are not all already saying……. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |
