Just another day in paradise

Ever had one of those days where you just try to make it through the day with your chin up!

I think I am having one of those weeks!

I am snowed under piles of homework, that I really need to be doing but balancing life, work, family and 30 minutes to myself isn't working in my favor.

Plus I have added stress of trying to move this weekend!

I wish I had one of those easy buttons that Staples shows on their commercials, that I could hit and make my problems disappear.

I could think of one big headache that I would make disappear first and then my life would be less stressful.

Then to add fuel to the fire, I can't get Internet for two weeks!

Two weeks!

No, I am not addicted to the Internet; I have homework to turn in 3-4 times a week.

So either I spend more time at work and do my homework somewhere in the corner of the office or try to find alternative places to get wireless.

I really like doing my homework at 11 p.m.-2 a.m., in the comforts of my pajamas, sitting at my table or lounging on my chair.

Why does everything have to take forever to get hooked up?

I am sure they would not want to wait so long to get basic things hooked up to make their lives run a little smoother.

Yes, I am venting, but it is good for me to vent once in a while!

Anyway, I set up mock stock market trades last weekend for my financial class!

We had $10,000 of fake money to spend on stocks and then watch what they do over the next eight weeks.

My biggest purchase was 2,000 shares of Ford Motor Company.

I bought them for $2.67 a share and today they went up 20 cents a share.

I also purchased some from Harley, Coach, Ebay, General Motors, Caterpillar and Cummins.

All for different reasons but it was still fun and I am really glad it is all fake money unless those Ford stocks really take off, then I will have wished it was real money.

I will get to check it again tomorrow and see if anything changes.

I should have purchased some stocks in Exxon or an oil company since they are getting my money anyway!

Now I am off to ready another chapter in my cross-cultural psychology book and get my discussion question posted on the internet before I go to bed tonight.

Have a great rest of the week!

Such is life. Everything takes longer than it should. what appears to be simple and should take no time at all always seems to be more complicated than it should be and take forever.

I know that because I just got off the phone with an insurance company over some roof damage two months ago.
