I am a simple creature

While thinking about this week's blog, I must admit I was at a loss. Lately there has been so much going on and so much to write about. For the first time in a long time, I've had down time and it has given me time to think.

I am a simple creature. I take pleasure in the small things in life. One of my favorite things is to light vanilla-scented candles and read a good book. I love to cook dinner in my crock-pot. It requires little effort and everything tastes good when it is done. I enjoy clipping coupons and making a grocery list that saves us money. I love going shopping the day after a holiday and getting the decorations at a major discount.

I love to watch movies with Ryan even if I don't understand the appeal to some of them he picks.

I enjoy turning on music and cleaning the house, I love it even more when I get home and Ryan has done it. I'm simple because I enjoy the routine. I like everything in a specific order and a specific place.

Though I am still an advocate of the book being better than the movie, I can't help but think of the movie instead of the book in this instance. One of my favorite quotes from "The Notebook."
