Happy New Year!Posted Monday, December 28, 2009, at 5:20 PM
After a few days of celebrating the Christmas festivities with my family, I am wishing for a few more days to recover. I won't deny the amount of fun I had with both Ryan's family and mine.
I learned how to play Euchre, to a point. I ate lots of good food, spent time with my cousins and laughed at jokes my siblings told. I must tell you that amidst the gifts and laughter it was wonderful to spend time with my brother and sister. Often times while we were growing up, we would look at each other with annoyance. I know there were times when Samantha and David would intentionally upset me just so I would get into trouble. Now that we are older, and wiser, we have come to cherish the times together. Though we do sometimes intentionally upset each other, it is all in good fun now. I was very blessed during Christmas, I spent time with people I love and who love me and that's what the holiday season is about. Now in a few short days we will be saying good-bye to 2009 and welcome in 2010. It will probably be another year where there is never enough money and I am sure more than once, I and the people I love, will inevitably begin stressing over the usual calamities that life brings. Life is a rollercoaster with ups and downs, twists and turns. |
