School is out for summerPosted Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at 3:58 PM
School is out for summer, and though I am not a teacher, I am finding this to be a nice break from the craziness that encompasses my life when school is in session.
Because my job is pretty much dead during this time frame, minus the school board meetings, I find other things to take it's place. It gives me the opportunity to get out in my car and drive around town. I write feature stories and cover other random things that happen in the community I wouldn't normally have the time to write about. I enjoy it. It's always a nice change. But I also enjoy the free time I have at my disposal. I always try to come in a little later during the summer months. I spend more time at home gardening or scrap booking. I also drive to Crawfordsville more often to see my family. They like that just as much as I do. Summer break is nice change, but I'm already missing being in the schools with the kids. Monday is our last day here in Wyoming County, West Virginia. I love my preschoolers so much and I am surely going to miss them...but...I CAN'T WAIT! It's so weird though, we've had so many snow days...I really shouldn't be so anxious for school to end. Guess I got spoiled by so many days off. Love and miss you Kim. See you soon.
Actually, Kim, I found out today that Wednesday is my last day....oh well 2 more days than I thought. Monday is the last day for the kids.
