The WAS Campaign

What drives you? What makes you tick? Floats your boat? Spins your top? Turns your crank? All of these questions are asking the same thing: What is your passion? What makes your eyes light up with excitement? Your spouse? Children? Grandchildren? Job? Church? Sports? Hunting that trophy deer? Starbucks? Do you have a passion? Do you have many?

If not, let me suggest that having a passion makes life more interesting. One of my many passions is finding a cure for cancer. That passion leads me to my personal campaign of fighting this dreaded disease: My WAS word campaign.

What is a WAS word? Well, to me, "Cancer should never be the buzz word. Cancer should be the WAS word." Cancer should be a past tense disease. My passion is to create a world for my granddaughter where she'll only have to wonder what cancer WAS.

Is there someone in your life that you would like cancer to be a WAS word? Would you like to join me in my WAS word campaign? Would you like to start your own campaign to make cancer the future 'disease of the past'? You can, you know. How?
