Community memorial garden to support Centerpoint Volunteer Fire Department
SUBMITTED
Centerpoint Volunteer Fire Department has completed work on the firehouse, but some projects around the station still need work.
We have decided this would be a great opportunity to install a community memorial garden as a department.
We want to involve as many community members - both current and past - as possible. We are selling engraved 4”x8” brick pavers to accomplish this. The pavers can be personalized with names of community members, even groups or businesses that would like to be involved.
The grey bricks are available for a donation of $50 each and can commemorate a family member, a special group, or event.
Businesses, churches, civic groups are encouraged to participate as well.
The funds raised during the project will be used to finalize the grounds around the new fire station.
Plans are to first pour a new concrete apron out front, with a second one out back of the station.
Any funds left over will be used to begin construction of the second floor in the firehouse, which we plan to convert into office and training space for the department.
Order forms may be picked up at the following Center Point community businesses, including:
Center Point Post office,
Centr Point Riddell National Bank,
Center Point Hardwar, and the
Clay County Genealogical Library.
The forms can be downloaded from the Centerpoint Volunteer Fire Department’s Facebook page.
The deadline to send in forms and payment is December 31, 2021, and can be mailed to the Centerpoint VFD, P.O.Box 52, Center Point, IN, 47840.
