Blogging about what I know

Hello readers,

I love change, but only if I understand what I'm doing while I'm changing.

Blogging is something I don't really have a clue about.

My son and daughter just roll their eyes at me. In perfect timing -- they both have a great future potential for being a comedy act -- and said, "Just spout out whatever, that's the point."

According to my teenagers, blogging is about opinions and they think I'm over qualified for the task that has been handed to me. Seems they think I'm a bit opinionated!

Where that is a true assessment of my character, I spend too much time listening to others tell me what is important to take up ranting the rest of the time.

Honestly, I'd like to try something new for a change.

Something I understand, food and family.

In the future, when time allows me the luxury of dallying in the past, I would like to share some recipes I've acquired over the years and the stories connected to them.

Coming together to spend time with loved ones, sharing great food and stories, is my favorite thing to do. I love having friends over for a barbeque, making egg rolls, baking cookies or just eating breakfast cereal out of the box while watching old movies.

I enjoy sharing recipes with people, but I really love the stories connected to them.

I hope that you will feel free to share your recipes and memories with me.
