The unexpected can be quite thrilling

Expecting the unexpected can take you on a wild ride in life.
Start off heading in one direction and suddenly, without warning, you can be lifted up and swept away in a whole new direction. Valentine's Day is a good example of this occurring. I figure the majority of people sit on one side of the fence on this holiday: either they love it or they hate it. Those who hate it tend to do so because they either have never experienced true love or have had their hearts smashed to bits and are reminded of the pain on this day. Others love it because they are with someone they love, adore and cherish everyday. These people try to show a huge display of their affection because it is the epitome of their love. Some even have sit on both sides at one point in their lives because the unexpected happened and they were swooped away from the "hate" side of Valentine's Day and are now experiencing the greatest time of their lives. Of course, the opposite can be said for those who have experienced the exact reverse. The thing is, life throws us all curveballs, whether it be in love, money or anything else, but those who keep their eyes closed will miss out on so many great things and only hear of a wonderful life from those who live with their eyes, minds and souls open to the possibility that living the unexpected can be fun, fruitful and extremely rewarding, even if their initial plans become skewed in a different direction along the way. |
