As time continues to pass, people seem to be looking for something to complain about.

Even the smallest of things, like the changing of a logo, gets people up in arms because they think it is racy or offensive.

Are we getting to the point where no one is happy unless they are complaining about something?

I certainly hope not.

Is everything perfect? No. Are there faults in the world we live? Of course.

But we need to take a step back and appreciate what good there is because it is ignored more each day.

No one seems to want to hear good news anymore because they will just glaze over it all until they come across something that stirs them up.

Also, the more this process has gone on, the greater attitude of "It doesn't concern me, so I don't care" continues to grow.

I see this all the time.

The meetings I cover are generally unattended, except for a scant few who show up nearly every time. However when something comes up, like the issues with the sign and animal ordinances, you pretty much can't find a seat because everyone wants to complain with the sentiment that they are being attacked personally.

No one seems to put their two cents in until something may possibly change the way they expect things to be.

We, as a people, need to start paying attention to all things, not only those that may affect us, and stop taking everything so personal.
