Holiday wishes from afarPosted Monday, December 22, 2008, at 7:57 PM
It's the holiday season and everyone is making holiday wishes.
The majority of the wishes have been for family and co-workers, and this one will have a few of those as well. However, my biggest wish is for those displaced from their families, whether it's because they are overseas in the military or because of work, to have a happy holiday season and enjoy the companionship and friendship with those they are with. Undoubtedly, these people will have their family on their minds and in their hearts, but I hope they don't get the "holiday blues" and cherish the time they have with the people who are around them. As for my family back home in Texas, I wish for another inch or two of snow late Christmas Eve as they enjoy dinner with their friends. For my family here in Indiana, I hope for clear roads so they will be safe as they travel to celebrate Christmas with one another. And for my friends at The Brazil Times, I hope they enjoy the time off with their families. Everyone has worked so hard this year and deserves the time to sit back, relax and spend a day not worrying about getting a story done, placing an ad correctly or having the telephone ring off the hook. Happy Holidays to all! Comments Showing most recent comments first [Show in chronological order instead] |
