Time in a rocket

It feels like someone must have shut me in a box and hid me away for a few months.
This year has moved by so fast, it is hard to believe Monday is the beginning of June. When I try to look back and see what I have done the past five months, I honestly can't remember much of anything other than work. It gives me the distinct feeling I'm going to get into the trap of not paying attention to the time, ending up three days before Christmas without having any shopping done. Typically, I buy little things throughout the year and store them away so I am prepared if the situation arises where I have no money for gifts at Christmastime to still have something for my friends and family. To be honest, I don't think blur is the right word to describe how fast the year has gone by for me. Maybe warp speed would be the right terminology. Months feel like weeks. Weeks feel like days. At this rate, before I know it, I could be ready to sign up for my AARP card. Hopefully the "dog days of summer" will slow things down a bit so I don't miss so much.
