Change is a good thingPosted Monday, March 17, 2008, at 10:24 AM
Things can change in life faster than you expect.
On one drop of a dime, everything can become different. I recently experienced something like this. Sometimes, that change can be bad. But in my case, it was excellent. I recently became engaged to a wonderful, fabulous woman. No date has been set yet and we're not even in the planning stages. But that's fine. I've been back with The Brazil Times since June 2007. I spent the majority of my days working, working and working some more. But since last week, my priority list was shuffled. Work is still important. It will always be important. But family comes first. She is now my family. I can honestly say I never thought I was the marrying kind. I really thought I was destined for a lifetime of bachelorhood. But everything changed Wednesday, March 12, when it became official. Now, I have an entire lifetime of memories to look forward too. And I have someone whom I can share those memories with. I'm looking forward to the experience. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |
