It's that time of year again.

March Madness.

And, as usual, my NCAA Tournament bracket has more X's on it than anything else.

I have put together a bracket for as long as I can remember. And during that time, I can't remember ever doing all that great.

The Sweet 16 this features North Carolina, Washington State, Louisville, Tennessee, Kansas, Villanova, Wisconsin, Davidson, West Virginia, Xavier, Western Kentucky, UCLA, Texas, Stanford, Michigan State and Memphis.

Of those 16 teams, I have only eight remaining.

Somehow, I managed to pick North Carolina, Kansas, Villanova, Wisconsin, Memphis, Stanford, Texas and UCLA.

It wasn't difficult to choose North Carolina, Kansas, Memphis and UCLA. Those four teams were the top seeds heading into the tourney.

I'm still looking at my bracket trying to figure out what in the world I was thinking when I chose Villanova. But at least I did.

Only six of my Elite 8 teams remain but all four of my Final Four teams are still alive. I played it safe this year and chose all four top seeds.

I picked North Carolina and Memphis in the finals, with Memphis coming out victorious.

But at this point, it doesn't matter.

I lost Butler yesterday. I had the Bulldogs advancing to the Elite 8. Another X on the page. Blast!

I entered a tourney bracket challenge and with only eight team remaining, my chances of winning are extremely slim.

Oh well. I still have Villanova left in another pool.
