I'm 3-5 in my predictions. How did you do?

OK, we've gotten through two rounds of the NFL playoffs.

Before the playoffs began, I made predictions. At this point, I'm better off never going to Las Vegas, that's for sure.

Through the first two weeks of playoff action, I have a record of 3-5. This coming week, I'm guaranteed to lose at least once and I've already lost my Super Bowl prediction.

So much for looking into the crystal ball. At least, on my part.

I'm curious, however. How did all of you do? Did you make predictions with the family? Did you make a bet with your friend?

In the first weekend, I was 2-2, accurately predicting San Diego would oust Indianapolis and Philadelphia would defeat my beloved Vikings.

However, I lost my Atlanta pick and my Miami pick.

This past weekend was brutal, to be honest.

I had Tennessee and Carolina winning Saturday while also picking Pittsburgh and the New York Giants winning Sunday.

I came out of the weekend with Pittsburgh as the sole survivor.

Honestly, the Tennessee pick was a toss-up, wasn't it? I mean, when the Ravens and Titans played each other in the regular season, the final tally was 13-10.

How fitting the Ravens returned the favor Saturday by knocking off the Titans on the road by a score of 13-10.

But the biggest surprise of the weekend had to be Arizona's thumping of Carolina.

The Panthers effectively laid an egg Saturday evening as the Cardinals came to play, ousting my Super Bowl pick, 33-13.

Six turnovers from your quarterback certainly doesn't help when you're attempting to advance in the playoffs, now does it?

On Sunday, I managed to escape with at least one win.

Pittsburgh hit a depleted San Diego hard, winning, 35-24. But the game wasn't really all that close.

However, the Giants laid an egg much like Carolina, falling to the Eagles at home, 23-11.

So, I head into the conference championship portion of the playoffs with a 3-5 record.

The best I can do heading into the Super Bowl is come away with a 4-6 mark. But that's only if the Steelers knock off the Ravens.

My pick as NFC representative in the Super Bowl was Carolina, so can't change now.

But, I can throw all my 'eggs' into one basket and I'm going to do that.

Go Cardinals!
