A new fan

For several months before James David was born, Merry took to the yard sale circuit, buying items for the little guy.

At that moment, we didn't know if we were going to have a boy or a girl, so we had several outfits and other things for both.

But after he was born, all those things came in handy.

He had an entire wardrobe before he was born.

And a lot of Colts' outfits.

But recently, my parents decided to buy him some Cincinnati Reds' onesies.

Here is a recent picture of James David, who is now four-and-a-half months old. He just keeps getting bigger and bigger every day.

He has other sports outfits and things. For example, he has a few Pacers' outfits. He also has a Minnesota Vikings pacifier.

But the Reds' onesies are great. Hopefully, he'll be a fan of the game. Baseball was life for me when I was a child. My father and I always played catch and he coached me when I was younger.

While I may never get into the coaching mode with James David, I hope to take him to some of these great ball parks to spend the afternoon and watch some baseball.

Even though I'm a Reds fan, I hope we can make a trip to Chicago some day to watch the Cubs play at Wrigley.

I've been there before and it is an experience.

By the way, the Reds won that game.
