Two Days In

Two days on the job, and my version of living the dream is actually happening.
I've gotten such wonderful welcome e-mails from people in the community, not to mention some face recognition from the picture that ran in this morning's paper.
This is not to say that I have it all together, though. It's going to take me a while to remember when meetings are at Clay City instead of North Clay, and which road is 40 and which is 46.

And there's a good chance you'll read some ranting on hockey, my favorite sport, as well.
If you're curious about the title, it is a response to people's reaction when they find out I drive an hour and twenty minute commute (one way) every day.
If you see a car with Wisconsin license plate driving slowly behind a farming implement, driver looking very angry, there's a very good chance that's me, and I'm very late.
Thank you to those who have welcomed me, and I look forward to whatever the daily commute will bring! |
