While reporting on education, I run into parents and families so often.

The protective and passionate way parents love their kid is unlike any other relationship on Earth.

So today's discovery of Scott Javins' car is especially hard.

I can't imagine my parents going through five years of searching, only to find a car in a river.

Did they hold out hope this long?

How do they move on from this?

If Javins did pass in the car that was found this afternoon, it was a life ended way too soon.
