Being healthy in 2020
Being healthy in 2020
By Mary Lou Sartor
It is close to the end of the day, and I am completely exhausted. After a good night’s sleep, the best in weeks, ambition decided my day!
Shortly after we consumed a healthy breakfast, this clean freak put my best foot forward, two stepped through this house, vacuumed, polished furniture and keepsakes and a myriad of other chores. Soon the house looked great-company ready.
Paul and Tootie Mae did a walk through and then went back to the couch to keep up with what is happening in our world.
When I checked on them a few minutes later, both were sound asleep. I was afraid if this old girl sat down to catch the news for them, I’d lose ground and crash on our comfy couch or get involved with tube talk...
I turned the volume on the TV down, and my slumbering prince stirred and woke-up!
I said, “ Honey, anything new with the governing body.”
Still half-way out of dreamland, he cleared his throat and replied, “Dr. Phil had some crazy woman on there!” That report was worth a hug from me.
I fixed the reporter a healthy lunch and gave the cute little four-legged bagger at my feet a treat.
Then, I treated my guy to a hair cut, a task I have been doing since the late Bert Miller retired years ago. He did not seem to mind not much hair fell into the cape this time. Hair today --hair tomorrow!
Later, after a nice evening meal, I continued doing things for the good of my family. The dishes were washed and the laundry laid aside.
It was time for Jeopardy! My favorite show would soon air. The apron came off, and I was ready to sink into that comfy couch and test my knowledge or add to my store.
The questions were easy tonight, and I was feeling pretty good when a pain hit me that is hard to ignore. The uncomfortable pain in my stomach and the headache has eased somewhat since I sat down in front of this computer to connect you.
Could be, its just gas and it will pass! I must go now because I have tears in my eyes and it hurts to laugh.
I can be reached by phone at 317-286-7352 or drop me a line to 649 South Grant Street, Brownsburg, IN, 46112.
