Talk of dreams with Burt Reynolds
Talk of dreams with Burt Reynolds
Hello! I hope you are doing well.
Today, this writer is somewhat tired after another night of disturbed sleep. Perhaps I should take reruns of “Gunsmoke” off of my schedule.
Last night I dreamed I was captured by Indians. They held me hostage in high country. I saw them go into a big teepee, but while they were in it I escaped. Horses were not seen in the dream.
I ended up in the blacksmith’s shop in Dodge dancing around whiskey barrels and old, like my dad once owned, with a young Burt Reynolds.
Everything we talked about and I thought about during the day was in that crazy mix. To top it off, I was wearing my old ruffled apron, a wig that was suffocating my brain and my blue denim dress that took me four months to receive from China, as wrinkly as the day it was delivered.
I woke up for a nighttime trip of another kind before I could see my hero help me escape or stopped the merriment…
This morning I felt guilty. My dream would not escape me. Paul was not included in the picture.
He has always known about my good dreams and most of all, terrifying nightmares.
So, I decided to help him begin the finishing touches to a replica of the ship he served on the USS Des Moines CA 134.
Weird dreams come and go; the reasons why I do not know.
Stress maybe a part of this, or it could be I just wanted to wear that new dress somewhere anyplace before I add fat to my winter weight…
We are staying home as much as possible. When we go to the grocery store and elsewhere, the masks are in place. Still, so many risk coming in close contact have tested positive or are not following safety measures.
Paul received his new CPAP machine Friday, sooner than expected. The recalled machine will be returned to its origin, Phillips. We hope there will be no additional health risks associated with the equipment.
On Friday, we had our picture taken with the Oscar Meyer Weiner Mobile parked in front of the new Brownsburg Kroger super store! We cracked up on that action. We are still trying to get some music out of our free wiener whistles.
There is a difference between blowing out and blowing off when people get old. Still, we are happy as can be doing what comes naturally!
