Frank Farmer is getting his lawn ready for a visit from the Easter Bunny this Saturday and Sunday. Candy will be given out and pictures can be taken with the long-eared visitor. The Easter Bunny will be visiting Frank and Linda Farmer this weekend. The Farmers, 1319 N. Forest Ave. in Brazil, have decorated their entire front lawn in anticipation of the special visitor...
New rules make jury service easier (04/15/03)
Part 2 of 4 Many Americans support the judicial system of a fair trial by a jury of their peers. Some think that serving on a jury is part of the responsibility of living in a free society. Others don't necessarily disapprove of the system but don't want to serve on a jury. They think it's inconvenient, time consuming and may result in loss of income. NHS Winter Guard places at Dayton (04/15/03)
Last weekend, the Northview Winter Guard competed in the Winter Guard International Championships in Dayton, Ohio. The guard competed in the Scholastic World class which is the top high school class and received 11th place with a score of 84.5. The competition showcases more than 300 winter guards and 150 percussion ensembles from more than 30 states and five countries. More than 10, 000 performers prepare for this event by competing in 29 Regional contests across the country...
Spring golf tourney open to public (04/15/03)
TERRE HAUTE-- Wabash Valley Community Foundation, Inc. will host its ninth annual Spring Outing May 1, 2003, at Hulman Links golf course. Registration, lunch and pre-tournament events will begin at 10:30 a.m. with shotgun start at noon. Entry fees are $112.50 per person or $450 per team, which includes golf fees, lunch and dinner. Hole sponsors for the golf tournament are $300 which includes one reservation for dinner at Hulman Lodge...
