Northview High School coach and instructor Bob Medworth was named Teacher of the Year by Wal-Mart Tuesday. The Northview Marching Knights Band is renown for its talent. Some say it has a lot to do with the instructor. His talents in the classroom have convinced officials in the Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year contest that his outstanding performance throughout the school year is deserving of special recognition...

Northview's junior varsity baseball team won 12-1 over host Mooresville on Wednesday night. Shawn Hughes went all six innings while allowing no earned runs in the game. He allowed seven hits while striking out five batters. Northview's tennis team won their seventh consecutive dual match on Wednesday evening with a 5-0 sweep of Danville at home. The Knights were led by at the No. 1 singles position by Amy Robbins who won 6-1, 6-0 over Jaci Drury.
