People take a break from the hustle and bustle of the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival in front of the J.J. Daniels Bridge in Bridgeton. The festival ended Sunday, prompting many local residents to be glad traffic patterns returned to normal.

She also makes decorative garden ornaments. French has had a Covered Bridge Festival booth at Bridgeton for six years in the Country Store, which is owned by her family. She says her favorite part of having a booth is seeing the friends she has made through the festival each year...
Wrecks take two lives (10/20/03)
A single-car accident in Clay County occurred at 8:38 p.m. Friday night, entrapping one person in the car. Wanda Staultz and John Burger, ages 46 and 30, were westbound on CR 250 when they ran off the road on the right side, hitting part of a bridge. Burger, the car's passenger, had to be removed from the vehicle. The report says that a witness saw Staultz, the car's driver, exceeding the speed limit prior to the wreck...
