Candidates Meet the Public (10/21/04)
A political forum was held Wednesday evening at the Clay County Fairgrounds. The Forum drew a much larger crowd than expected, over 100 people turned out for the event, according to Farm Bureau members in attendance. LaPlante ruling expected today (10/21/04)
Marion County Judge, Gary L. Miller is expected to rule this afternoon on the motion filed by the Republican Central Committee to place Brooks LaPlante on the Republican ticket for the Nov. 2 election. James Bopp Jr., attorney for the Republican Central Committee, asked for the hearing in Marion County after Kristi Robertson, a Democrat on the Indiana Election Committee, refused to sign off on LaPlante due to issues dealing with LaPlante's previous election finance reporting issue and a pending hearing in Sullivan County dealing with the residency of Jeff Lee, currently on the ballot for the Nov. ...
