Boys' soccer passes out season awards

Shaun Hardey was named the Top Offensive Player for Northview this season after scoring two goals and adding an assist. The Northview boys soccer team recently held their postseason banquet at Indiana State University and presented season awards to many of their players. No parking order issued

Mayor Tom Arthur and Police Chief Mark Loudermilk have issued a temporary no parking order on the south side of Mechanic St., on Nov. 10-11. The order was issued because S and G Excavating will install a water tap for the new Clay County Jail on Nov. 10-11. Therefore, the City will close Vandalia St. from Jackson St. to Mechanic St. to through traffic. However, it will be open to residents needing to access their homes...

Caucus planned to fill board position

Due to the resignation of James Zentko from the Brazil Township Board, a caucus of precinct committee members must fill the position. The caucus will take place at the Brazil Township Trustee Office on Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. The following is a brief, but not complete, description of the Board's duties: Advising the trustee concerning matters pertaining to the civil township; organize as a board, and as a board of finance; examine and approve, in whole or in part, the annual report of the trustee; keep a record of all business transacted at all meetings; make appropriations and set tax levies for the ensuing year; make additional appropriations as the need arises; enter into all contracts with other agencies for services provided to the township which include other governmental agencies that provide fire protection to the township outside the corporate limits of the city.. ...
