Edna May Swalley Tiefel, 89, of Bowling Green, Ind., died at her residence at 9:15 p.m., Wednesday, September 21, 2005. She was born October 9, 1915, in Clay County to John and Elsie Huber Schroer. She was a 1935 graduate of Bowling Green High School. She was a member of the Poland United Church of Christ. She married Lowell Swalley who passed away in 1965. She then married Al Tiefel who also preceded her in death. She enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening...

It's that time of year when farmers utilize the roadways for moving equipment from field to field to get the crops in before the winter weather arrives. "It's the beginning of the harvest season in the county, and motorists need to be more alert than ever of their surroundings during this time of year," Clay County Sheriff Mike Heaton said.
