The Brazil City Board of Works and Public Safety has selected new firefighters to replace three department veterans who will retire at the end of the year. The board will reveal the names of the newly hired firefighters sometime in November, according to Brazil Fire Chief Tobey Archer. Cynthia Louise Shelton, age 56, of Brazil, died at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at her residence. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on May 31, 1949 as the daughter of Robert Randolph and Daisy Lee Stogner Fisher Jr. She married Robert John Shelton December 22, 1967 at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.
