Blood drive (07/06/06)
Free rib-eye steak sandwiches and t-shirts were given away at the Brazil Community Blood Drive at the YMCA where 35 units were collected. Tim Backfish of Center Point was lucky enough to get a very large steak that required two buns. Another chance to donate blood and receive a free steak sandwich and t-shirt will be Saturday, July 8, 4-8 p.m. at the Clay City Fair...

Robyn Ganly of Brazil was the special guest of the Brazil Rotary Club Wednesday. She won the $10,000 grand prize raffle drawing Tuesday night following the 4th of July fireworks. Robyn is a nurse at St. Vincent Clay Hospital. She bought the winning ticket Saturday at Rotary Headquarters in Forest Park and plans to use some of the money to pay bills...
