School bus safety tips (09/06/06)
Wait for the school bus driver to signal you to cross the street, line up facing the bus, not along side it, do not play in the street while waiting for the bus, and walk away from the front of the bus, so the driver can see you. Walking and Biking Safety: Never cross the street against a stop light, wear a helmet if you bike or skate board, walk your bike across the street, never walk between parked cars, pay attention to the crossing guard and stop signals, look left, right and over your shoulder before crossing a street and continue to check directions while crossing, ride your bike in the same direction as traffic and always walk with a friend.. ...
