By IVY JACKSON Times Staff Reporter A semi accident on Interstate 70 Thursday morning closed down traffic for several hours while HazMat crews cleaned fuel off the road. Clyde Davis Stantz, 80, Coal City, passed died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at 3 p.m., at Monroe Hospital following a brief illness. He was born in Iowa on Nov. 15, 1926, the son of Claude and Belva Pardington Stantz. He was a farmer for years and had worked at the Clay Plant in Brazil.
