A man who allegedly kidnapped and raped an area woman was sentenced Monday. Clay Superior Court Judge Blaine Akers sentenced Larry J. Sharps to 55 years for criminal deviate conduct, rape and being a habitual offender. Sharps had agreed to plead guilty to the charges earlier this month.
