Although the Indiana State Police accident report is expected to be completed within a few days, the Clay County Sheriff's Department confirmed it would also be investigating a two-vehicle accident that injured a law enforcement officer Thursday. Festival revamps scholarship program

The Clay County Popcorn Festival Board took a leap last year and voted to change the scholarship program. The board agreed the Scholarship Pageant was too costly to produce and is twice as much as the scholarship awards. Additionally, the board wanted to change the female-oriented scholarship pageant to a program that reaches across both genders, which males can participate thus eliminating the bias in our program...
