BY CLAY CUNNINGHAM Times Staff Reporter North Clay's sixth grade basketball took one on the chin Wednesday night, as both A and B squads dropped games to a very good Honey Creek squad. The A-team fell by the score of 47-32. The Knights made an impressive 9-2 run late in the first period to take a 13-11 lead. The momentum didn't last however, as turnovers and an inability to stop a fast paced Bees attack, led to a 26-17 halftime deficit...

I finished my painting project yesterday. Everything went well. Aside of an assortment of bruises brought about by moving heavy furniture and long stretches of ladder leaning, I completed the job, in good order. My porcelain beauties are back in their glass showcases. Paul's oil paintings are in view. Everything looks ship-shape, including the large framed M. Donegar print of the USS De Moines, the heavy cruiser that Paul served on during his tour of duty with the Navy...

I don't have much news this week because I have been cooped up with the pig croup, or something, for about two weeks. I had a couple days of recovery and then started coughing, totally lost my voice (some call that a blessing), and have just been whining whispers ever since. I coughed so hard, I think the wallpaper has loosen from the walls. My good allergy doctor moved out of state a few months ago so I am off to see a new one at Terre Haute next week. Hopefully, that will help...
