The snow and cold changed my plans for last weekend. Friends at Jasper usually treat me to lunch for my birthday, but the weather was too bad in January. Then February sounded good, but Mother Nature changed that plan, too. Three old friends and I have always treated each other for our birthdays. Other friends often joined the celebration. The birthday girl always ended up with at least two days of eating out. We did this for Linda in May and Pat in November, too...

The Jackson Township Elementary student council hosted a drive to collect money for Haiti called Hopeful Hearts for Haiti. Students were asked to bring in loose change and they collected $248, which has been sent to Mountain Top Ministries in Haiti.
