Thurman J. Hargis, 81, Brazil, died May 2, 2010, at Cloverleaf Healthcare Facility, Knightsville. He had been a resident there for several years. He was born Jan. 31, 1929, in Bobtown, Ky., the son of Moses and Florida Whittis Hargis. He was a heavy equipment operator for over 45 years. He worked for Lonestar for 30 years, retiring in 1985. He married Betty Cooksey Hargis on Dec. 18, 1965. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and working in his vegetable garden...
