Band in running for another grant

Thanks to its band booster program, the Northview Marching Knights are in the running for another Pepsi Refresh Everything grant. Members of the band boosters recently attempted to secure grant funding during the month of June in the Pepsi Refresh Everything promotion and landed a top-10 placing, meaning the program is a finalist for a $5,000 grant. Eva Raab, 89, passed away July 7, 2011, at the Kingston Nursing Center, Conway, S.C., and will be greatly missed by her family. She was born in Madison, Ind., the daughter of the late Mollie B. and Alonzo Thornton. Eva spent her adult life living in Brazil, and is preceded in death by her late husband, Forrest Boyd Raab.
