City, shelter working together again (05/10/12)
At Wednesday's meeting, the Brazil City Council made a motion to allow the Brazil Humane Shelter to take over the remaining contract. "I think our current vendor (Clay County Animal Rescue), that contract actually ends (May 14), which I believe is Monday," Brazil Mayor Brian Wyndham said. "There's been a verbal agreement right now with the Humane Shelter to fulfill that contract throughout the remainder of the year, as the contract states right now."...

The annual Saline City Truck Pull will take place Saturday, June 9. Pulling will begin at 5:30 p.m., with weigh-ins scheduled for 2-5 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults.
