Two local students recently earned first-place in a flag program. Cheyenne Olsen and Ricky Atkinson from Van Buren Elementary won first-place in the local flag program competition. Olsen also went on to win first-place in the district competition. The American Legion Post 2 offered a flag program last fall to all fourth-grade students at six of the local elementary schools.
