Car wash for a cause!
(Local News ~ 06/04/12)
Friends and family of the late Troy Jeffrey II conducted a donation car wash Monday and Tuesday at Advance Auto Parts. According to Baylor Girton, who was good friends with Jeffrey, all the money donated goes directly to Jeffrey's family. Girton said the car wash crew was out both days at Advance Auto Parts from 9 a.m., until closing. In addition, there has also been a bank account opened in Jeffrey's honor at area First Financial Banks where donations can be made. "(We're) so thankful for everyone that helps," Girton said. "It really shows how a community can come through (in tough times)." Jeffrey was killed in a single vehicle accident on Saturday, June 2, after losing control of his vehicle. On hand for the picture included Megan Brunette (back row, from left), Cole Watts, Desiree Williamson, Kelsey Batchelor, Baylor Girton, Brody Girton, John Boys, Austin Byrd, Shelby Boys, Rhiannon Wilkerson, Jacob Vogel (front row, from left) and Tanner Wilson.
