Carbon Council adopts ordinances (06/08/12)
The Carbon Town Council met Monday for its monthly meeting and adopted two ordinances. Ordinance No. 4-2012 is in regard to anti-nepotism and the employment and contracting of relatives, which is pursuant to Indiana code. As the ordinance states, there are some exclusions, such as any individual employed by a unit -- meaning a county, city town or township -- when the ordinance goes into effect July 1, 2012, is not subject to the policies unless the individual has a break in employment...
