The Rock For Brazil 4 2012 music festival raised $5,600 for the Stewart family. This year tallied a total of more than 30 bands and five stages. Organizers of the event present Beverly Stewart with a check and a memorial poster signed by each of the bands that performed that day. The poster was designed by Beverly. Park Board discusses vandalism, lewd behavior at local parks

The Brazil Parks and Recreation Board met Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 6:30 p.m., for its regular meeting in the Brazil City Hall Council Chambers. The board first heard from Ryan French, 16, who apologized for vandalism he contributed to at Wheeler Park. Amy (Solomon) Shelton (D), Brazil, is running for Clay County coroner in the upcoming election. Shelton is a full-time ER nurse and part-time paramedic, as well as the wife of a firefighter and mother of two high school boys.
