Herbert Daniel Newport Jr., 89, Clay City, passed away Jan. 21, 2013, at Exceptional Living Center with his family by his side. Herbert was born Nov. 27, 1923, the son of Herbert Daniel Newport Sr. and Alice (Burns) Newport in Owen County. Herbert was a truck driver for most of his career where he retired from PFT.
