To the Editor: I am sure at some point while growing up, we have all heard the old saying, "it's the little things in life that matter most." The older I get, the more truth I find in that statement. Maybe it's because in this day and age, there doesn't seem to be many "little things" moments, so when one does happen, it has a greater impact and longer lasting effect on me...

The worth of your computer

Prior to 1986, I was owner of an H&R Block franchise in Missouri. This was at a time when it was evident tax preparation had gotten so complex it was going to become a computer driven industry. Computers at the time, however, started at about five grand plus the software, if you could get workable and IRS acceptable software. This was not "worth" it to me and I got out of the business shortly thereafter...
