Trailer filled with flat screens stolen

Both a truck and trailer containing 500 flat screen televisions were stolen from the I-70 truck stop in Brazil Thursday. Clay County Sheriff Mike Heaton said around 4 p.m., the driver of the stolen semi-trailer stated he locked the doors and left the truck running when he entered the truck stop. Heaton said it is not uncommon for truckers to take extra keys with them and leave the truck on in this heat. When the driver exited, the truck was missing...

A sea of blue 4-H'ers hovered around tables in the exhibit hall Friday afternoon as they all competed in the annual Skill-A-Thon. The printing on the back of the shirts said it all: "You got to know your facts, Jack." The event is in its second year at Clay County. Looking back, Laura Beller, Jasonville, thought her son and nephew were "crazy" when they told her they wanted to do an 800-mile bike ride from Jasonville to Fort Walton Beach, Fla., to raise money and bring awareness to breast cancer.
