Modern Homemakers to celebrate

The Modern Homemaker's Club will celebrate its 60th year with an open house from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Clay County Extension Office. The club invites all Homemaker Clubs and friends to help celebrate the occasion. One of the many blessings of a daily commute is satellite radio. It's really a great bonus and if your car is equipped for it, I highly recommend it. They are not very expensive and have over 120 channels of all the news you can handle, music of every type, and comedy and sports channels. There is even an audio book channel where you can listen to people read great books...

Local post office extends hours for holiday season

The U.S. Postal Service announced some Indiana branches would remain open for four hours on three Sundays in December. The Brazil Post Office is among those branches selected that would open its doors from noon to 4 p.m. on Dec. 7, 14 and 21.
