To the editor: Over the past 10 years the Clay County Humane Society has offered an opportunity for "animal lovers" to support the local shelter through a fundraising effort called SCRIP. We were able to buy gift certificates from Kroger, Page's and Baesler's as well as Great Lakes Scrip at a discount and resell them at face value, the difference was our profit. Over the past 10 years we were able to raise $6,750.60 for the animals at the Clay County Humane Shelter...
