Mayor cautious but optimistic about offer to develop blighted properties

Brazil Mayor Brian Wyndham was cautiously optimistic Saturday morning when speaking about plans to develop blighted property in the City of Brazil. On Wednesday, James Bosley and John Broady of New Hope Services Inc. of Jeffersonville obtained a promise of tax abatement on a project to purchase blighted properties from the City of Brazil and develop housing for seniors and disabled persons, provided tax credits can be obtained from the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority and the City of Brazil agrees to sell the properties to New Hope.. ...
