Winners Announced for Bridgeton Quilt Show

Saturday and Sunday, June 11 & 12, Bridgeton held its 13th annual Quilt & Woodworking Show. First-place winner was Jean Kokoska, with a beautiful hand-embroidered quilt displaying a collection of birds, custom quilted by Peggy Kline. The second-place winner was Bruce Thompson, third was Mary Lou Thompson, fourth Linda Childs, and fifth Shirley Fetter. Nearly 80 quilts were displayed this year. Movie about Brazil to be shown at meeting

The Clay County Genealogical Society will host its regularly scheduled meeting at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21 in the library on the corner of Gilbert and Main in Center Point.
