Ruth Maxine Burns, 93, of Avon went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 9, 2016. Ruth was born in Brazil Indiana on April 16, 1923 to Roy and Florence Siegelin. She was married for 51 years to the late William Thomas Burns. Ruth and Bill lived most of their lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana where they were active members of Immanuel Baptist church and Blackhawk Baptist Church. Parks board sets policy for 5K walk/runs

A large number of groups have been holding 5K walk/run events to raise money for charity, leading to a scheduling problem. On Tuesday, the Brazil Board of Parks and Recreation decided to set a policy for 5Ks.
