• Road viewers reported to the Clay County commissioners on the possible closing of 1-1/2 miles of the old Bloomington Road for mining purposes by Ayrshire Colleries. The company wanted the road closed and the viewers recommended that the county grant the road be closed on a temporary basis. They set Dec. 1, 1975, as the maximum date for the road to be closed and also stated that the mining firm maintain the road until they were ready to use it...
